David Heenan is an old friend of HSBP, having presented
(with great flair and panache, we might add) his nationally
acclaimed books on business and business leadership in
previous luncheon programs. And thankfully, he is at it
again! His latest book - Bright Triumphs From Dark Hours -
examines the lives of ten extraordinary people who
overcame great adversity in their personal or professional
lives by applying winning strategies that guided them out of the darkness of
near-defeat and into the light of success. And with seemingly clairvoyant
timing, David Heenan will offer some thought-provoking and inspiring
messages for moving forward when problems seem insurmountable. Postluncheon,
David will happily autograph copies of his new book and hang
around for further discourse.
Dr. Heenan is a trustee of the Campbell Estate and a visiting professor at
Georgetown University. A former senior executive with Jardine Matheson
and Citigroup, he served as vice president for academic affairs and, earlier,
dean of the business school at the University of Hawaii. Educated at William
and Mary, Columbia (M.B.A.) and the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.),
he has served on the faculties of the Wharton School and Columbia Business
School. In addition to articles published in the nation’s leading newspapers
and business journals, he has authored six other books, including Flight
Capital, Double Lives and Co-Leaders. |
