HSBP Flyer January .jpg

BIKI and HUI are new bike and car share rental services that add innovative options to our current transportation system. Shared use of bicycles and vehicles and reduced reliance on private cars are elements of a future-oriented multimodal transportation system that also incorporates smart phones and credit card payment.

Executives from BIKI and HUI will discuss the business model for their types of services, the demographics of the people who use their services, and what is needed to establish, grow and sustain new transportation options.

Todd Boulanger is Executive Director of Bikeshare Hawaii, a non-profit corporation that is responsible for Biki, the bikeshare program that currently operates in urban Honolulu. He has a masters degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Hawaii Manoa and a bachelor’s degree in political science and Asian business from Southern Methodist University.

Peter Fukunaga is Director of Car Sharing for Servco Pacific Inc. where he oversees the development and deployment of the Hui car share program in partnership with Toyota Connected. Prior to joining Servco Pacific, Peter was an investment manager at Kamehameha Schools. He grew up on Maui and Molokai and graduated from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
